St Andrew Legacy Golf Classic 2019
The ICD Group and British Caribbean Insurance Company (BCIC) have committed their support as lead sponsors for the fifth staging of the St Andrew Legacy Classic Golf Tournament for men, women and juniors on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Caymanas Golf Club.
The ICD Group is a third-time supporter of the annual St Andrew High School Foundation fund-raiser and along with BCIC, assists the foundation’s drive to build an on-campus student hostel and for the continued development of St Andrew High’s Girls for Golf programme, to get more girls playing the game.
The Jamaica Golf Association (JGA)-sanctioned charity tournament traditionally attracts over 70 golfers and expectations are no less for this year at Caymanas when golfers will tee off on October 26 with an 8:30 am shotgun start and a repeat of last year’s format — a two-player scramble, ¼ combined handicap with two-player entries for adults (ladies, men and mixed) and juniors.
“The tournament is one of the most looked forward to charity events on the JGA calendar and we are delighted to see the continuing support from sponsors and donors,” comments Tournament Director David Mais.
ICWI and First Global Bank are also returning Legacy Plus sponsors. Wisynco also returns as the exclusive hydration sponsor with their Wata and CranWata brands and joins other Legacy sponsors which include — GK Insurance, JMMB Joan Duncan Foundation, GK Foods, Jamaican Teas, Burger King, Sterling Asset Management, Design Options, Alliance Investment Management, Victoria Mutual Building Society, Thwaites Finson Sharp, Marlie Technology Park, Adolph Levy, Sonia Haydn Foundation and JP Tropical Foods.
