BCIC Jamaica Hosts Back To School Treat

BCIC continues its Education for Life initiative with the Scots Kirk United Church with a Back to School treat held on September 29, 2015. Several children who are involved in the programme turned out to the treat, receiving gifts of stationary as well as refreshments.

The theme “I believe I can… and will achieve greatness” was fully expressed by guest speaker Owen Duckie. He encouraged the students to perform well and listen to their parents and imploring parents to for their children and facilitate systems, values and attitudes which will help them to grow and reach their full potential.

We extend a special mention to Debbie-Ann Leslie-Campbell as Master of Ceremonies; Sheron Ragbeir, Kimberly Morgan, Daniela Crosbourne as well Nashoon Haye and Davee Williamson who participated in the programme.

A big thank you to Maiha Reid for her efforts in coordinating the programme! We are so thankful for your contribution.
Special thanks to Ms Doreen Samuels, Dorothy Russell-Clarke and Simone Foote for presenting the children with their gifts and providing continued and invaluable support to the Education for Life programme. Thanks especially to all our volunteers, this programme would not be sustainable without your support.
