Joseph Mayer Matalon, that is — local businessman, philanthropist, and current chairman of the ICD Group Holdings Limited. Matalon is also on the board of many local and international businesses.
It is for this reason he was tapped as the 26th inductee into the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica’s (PSOJ) Private Sector Hall of Fame last Tuesday at Jamaica Pegasus hotel. Well-wishers, partners, and business associates, who enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails from the open bar, filled the foyer of the Montego Suite to celebrate with him.
President and CEO of ICD Group Holdings Limited Peter Melhado officiated. Upon his signal, recording artiste Tessanne Chin sang the National Anthem and opened the floor for the president of the PSOJ, Howard Mitchell, who gave the address, after which a three-course dinner was served.
