Joseph M. Matalon, C.D., B.Sc (Economic Honours)
Joe is Chairman of the ICD Group and a director and chairman of several other boards including the publicly listed companies RJR/Gleaner Communications Group and 1834 Investments (formerly The Gleaner Company Limited). He previously served as the chairman of the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) and is also a Past President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica (PSOJ). Joe has significant experience in creating and building businesses and has led and participated in several government policy development initiatives. He has been appointed by the Government of Jamaica to the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander (C.D.) in recognition of his service to the nation in 2010. Joe was named the 26th inductee of the PSOJ Hall of Fame and was officially inducted in October 2018.
Peter K. Melhado, B.Sc Engg (Mech), MBA
Peter is the President and CEO of the ICD Group. He has worked primarily in the local manufacturing and financial services sectors, including creating Manufacturers Sigma Merchant Bank, which became one of the leading financial and asset management companies in Jamaica. Peter sits on a number of Boards outside of his ICD interests, including Sagicor Group, Red Stripe, Industrial Chemical Company and the American International School of Kingston. He has a commitment to public sector development and also served as a Vice President of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica.
Vikram Dhiman, B.Sc (Maths), CA, CPA, MBA
Vikram is the ICD Group’s Chief Operating Officer. He has worked in several countries in several sectors and as a strategy consultant to several Fortune 500 companies. Vikram’s experience includes setting up businesses, mergers, acquisitions, divestments, and the development of strategy and the advisement and leading of change programmes for companies and organisations that he has worked with. Vikram has been responsible for developing the National Junior Golf programme for the Jamaica Golf Association and, raised US$300k over the past 5 years for the Junior Team’s development and participation in regional and international tournaments.
Cristina Matalon, B.Sc (Business), MBA
Cristina is ICD Group’s Company Secretary and serves as all the companies within the ICD Group. She acts as Secretary to the Trustees of the ICD Group Pension Plan. Cristina has significant experience in Company Law matters, and serves as Company Secretary for several companies outside of the ICD Group. Cristina has experience in managing mergers, acquisitions and divestments having worked alongside Joe, Peter and Vikram on several transactions.
Stacey Hines, B.Sc (CIS), MBA (Honors)
Stacey is the Group Strategic Planner for all companies within ICD Group and serves as advisor to various boards on select strategic initiatives. Stacey has worked across North America in several industries with a focus on business operations, systems development and implementing strategic initiatives geared towards change. Stacey is responsible for managing the Strategic Planning Office and provides support to the senior management teams of the subsidiaries on the systems, structure and culture of the organisation and their alignment with the organisations strategic plan and values. She is an experienced public speaker who has served as co-founder and executive board member for the Network of Black Business & Professional Women.
Judith Bruce was appointed to the position of Group Human Resource Director in July 2014. In this role, she is responsible for establishing the strategy for an HR Culture of Excellence and creating best practices in HR functions across the ICD Group. Previously, Judith worked at West Indies Home Contractors Limited as the Sales Manager. During her tenure there, she also served as PR Manager fostering strong relationship between communities built by WIHCON and the company. She holds a Bachelor degree from the University of Louisville, Kentucky, a Bachelor degree in Human Resource Management from University College of the Caribbean, and a Diploma in Public Relations from IMP. She is currently a board member at WIHCON Properties, The Multicare Foundation and ICD and Associates Credit Union.
