WIHCON gets early take up of new apartments at Diaspora conference

Within two hours of launching its latest apartment complex in Kingston 6, the West Indies Home Contractors (WIHCON) says it has completely sold off the units reserved at pre-construction selling price of $11.5 million.

The Lofts, was officially launched at the Jamaica 55 Diaspora Conference Delegates Luncheon on Tuesday at the Jamaica Conference Centre.

The reserved units were primarily taken up by local young professionals and a few people from the diaspora, the company said.

Ground will be broken on the development located on Arthur Wint Drive, close to the National Stadium in August and should be completed by December 2018.

Dubbed “more than just another Kingston address”, WIHCON noted that the development brings a refreshed perspective on urban living.

WIHCON also noted that The Lofts is a perfect opportunity for rental income and for first-time buyers.

Aisha Campbell General Manager, Development Division said “We encourage homebuyers to take advantage of what will be the perfect opportunity to live, work and play in your own backyard.”

“We are here to transform the beating heart of this incredible city, within 15 minutes or less you can be at the airport to catch your flight, sitting in front of the screen at the movie theatre or conducting business in New Kingston,” Campbell added.

Priced at between $11.5 million and $18.5 million, WICHON said the studio and two-bedroom apartments invoke a sense of contemporary style merged with classic design, chrome fittings and free-flowing floorplans.

“Residences at The Lofts have been artfully arranged to utilise both space and natural light through spectacular outdoor spaces and gorgeous vistas, the company said.

Other amenities include a jogging trail, gym, club house as well as tennis courts topped off with views to Kingston Harbour
