Mrs. Ann Astwood has been overseeing programme activities and day-to-day operations at the MultiCare Foundation since 2010. Her strategic focus and mature judgement has served to boost team spirit and employee morale, enhance community partnerships and maintain MultiCare’s youth and community focus to allow the Foundation to deliver on its mandate under very challenging circumstances.
Prior to joining the MultiCare team, she was the first full-time Manager of the Cable & Wireless Jamaica Foundation [now LIME] where she gained working knowledge and experience of operations, particularly as it relates to selection, roll-out and administration of projects and grants, employee volunteerism and developing and maintaining external partnerships.
A Communications professional, she has over 20 years experience in Corporate Communications with LIME, Cable & Wireless, including handling Public Relations and Advertising portfolios as Senior Public Relations Officer/Corporate Communications Manager.
She is passionate about child welfare and development and is a founding Director of the Children’s Coalition of Jamaica – a non-profit organization operating Help-Line facilities for children and parents in need of guidance and support. She has also served on the Boards of The MultiCare Foundation and the former Jamaica Foundation For Children.
